About Dover Housing Authority

The Dover Housing Authority (DHA) has a rich history that dates back to its establishment by the Dover City Council in March 1948.

Originally created to address the urgent need for affordable housing following World War II, DHA focused on providing homes for low-income families, particularly those of returning veterans who had served their country.

Over the decades, DHA has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community, expanding its mission to include not only veterans but also older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Today, the Dover Housing Authority is dedicated to offering high-quality, income-based housing in safe and welcoming neighborhoods.
